Puppy questionnaire
We never breed to produce large numbers of puppies and do not have puppies available often.

We do not ship puppies.
We can recommend some ground transportation if needed.

We breed to the Great Dane Club of America and Basset Hound Club of America breed standard, temperament, health, and longevity always in mind.
Our Danes and Basset are representatives of the breed.

AKC Registration
Microchipped
Started on puppy vaccination (Dr. Jean Dodd protocol)
Some kibble to go home with
New Puppy folder
Started on Crate training and walking on a leash.

We do not take deposits upfront. We ask for a deposit or half when puppies are 6 weeks old. The rest must be paid before the puppy leaves.

We accept Cash, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal and Venmo.
​
Our puppies do not leave prior to 8 weeks of age.

**Danes**Cropping is your personal choice. We support your personal preference. Be aware of the dedication needed to a cropped ear puppy. Our puppies are cropped by a qualified licensed Veterinarian. If you purchase your puppy natural, the puppy must remain natural.

We screen all potential buyers.

We reserve the right to place puppies in homes we choose. Sending us answers to the questionnaire does not guarantee a spot on our interest list.

We do not allow prospective puppy families to reserve a puppy or choose a puppy. Our show potential homes will have their puppies picked first before companion homes are contacted. This takes time. We won't know which puppies have show potential until around eight weeks of age.

We know the puppies personalities and even though we take in a potential home's request into consideration, we try to match a puppy that will meet your lifestyle and family.

We are more than happy to recommend a Great Dane or Basset Hound Rescue to you if you are looking to rescue.

~ How big is the yard? Is it fenced? How will you exercise your Great Dane/Basset Hound?

~ Where will your puppy be when unsupervised?
~How many hours a day approximately will your puppy be home alone?

~ Will s/he be crate trained? Do you have anyone who can give potty breaks to the puppy during the day when you are at work?
~Are you interested in a male or female? Would you accept either sex?

~**Great Dane** We will be having fawn and black puppies, do you have a preference on color?

~**Great Dane** Will you want your puppy cropped? Are you going to be able to dedicate the time into ear care and posting? If you get a natural ear puppy, it must remain natural ear. Please note, if we are holding onto a couple puppies as potential prospects, they will be cropped. We do try to stay with your preference if we can.
~How will you train this puppy? Will you do a puppy kindergarten class?
~Are you interested in showing in conformation, obedience/agility​, or other events​?
~ What are your thoughts on a contract with the breeder?

~ Will you get pet insurance for your puppy?
​
~Where will the dog go if you go on vacation?
​
~If this puppy is purchased as a family companion (not to be bred), do you agree to have it spayed/neutered at an age appropriate age for the puppy's development and health? (18-24 months of age) Understand that if you get a bitch, she may go into season by 9 months of age. Are you prepared to deal with a 21 day season every 6 months before she is of age? Are you prepared to be responsible when she does go into season that she has no way of becoming pregnant?
